Almaden Country Day School

Brio Engineering provided site Civil Engineering services for the new Fisher Event Center, construction of new classroom, parking lots, and student drop-off, which all met ADA requirements. The expansion provided the school with a Event Center that comprises 15,000 square feet, featuring a grand entrance that lead into the regulation-size high school size gym, lock rooms, offices, and theater. The new Event Center created new impervious surfaces, which eventually required many low impact development solutions to meet City Stormwater Management Measures.

Lazear Charter Academy

Brio Engineering has provided all site Civil Engineering services for the redevelopment of Lazear Charter Academy. The campus consisted modernization of 23 existing classrooms, construction of 2 new classrooms, restrooms, administrative offices and workspace, and a multi-purpose building, which all met ADA requirements. Additionally, a new playground, parking lot, and sports field were constructed in the south half of the campus. The project was completed in early 2021.

Cipriani Elementary School

Brio Engineering has provided all site Civil Engineering services for the new 2-story classroom building, replacing the childcare portable building, and modernizing a few outdated rooms to a fully functional facility for 75 students per grade level (450 total). In addition to more classrooms, this expansion provides the school with a full-sized library, a dedicated science classroom, break-out space for music instruction, adequate specialist offices, and a full-sized staff room. The site has dramatic elevation change from one end of the campus to the other creating many grading challenges requiring careful grading to meet ADA requirements and the needs of the students.

Capuchino High School

Brio Engineering has provided all site Civil Engineering services for the redevelopment of this 39.6-acre campus in San Bruno that has gone through a comprehensive modernization, transforming it from a stoic 1950’s campus of austere concrete buildings to a “Stanford Quad” style campus of courtyards and tile-roofed buildings.

The site has dramatic elevation change from one of the campus to the other creating many grading challenges requiring careful grading to meet ADA requirements and the needs of the students.
